Comments on: How is your family spending time at home together?

My husband and I bought a large home several years ago that had been empty for 2 years. Our grown children and remaining parents come to visit to help with needed maintenance and repairs. We have 11 acres of woods surrounding our home. This year we plan to make paths in the woods for wandering walks and secret gardens.

My wife and I have no children, we spend our time loafing at book stores, drinking coffee and reading. Walking on the beach, and working of course. We travel as much as we can, but lately it’s only been to visit family.

My children are grown with children of there own but we still try to get together for a family day. I just lost my oldest son in a car accident on black Friday so family gatherings are more important than ever. I have the grandchildren at my home at least twice a week, usually more. We cook, read books and go to the park. We have Sunday dinners at my home and go out to dinner as a group for everyones birthday. It is harder to get together with everyones schedule but we make sure we gather at least once a week.
